Already when the search engines stopped working, having combed 200 km of forests and fields, forensic experts reported that they noticed nervous fluctuations on the lie detector of one of the local residents - 29-year-old Andrei Sh., three times convicted of theft, robbery and drugs.

According to a source close to the investigation, one more detail spoke against Andrei: the detectives requested cellular data and found out that Vanya’s phone had stopped sending signals not far from the house where the suspect lived. A couple of days later, the man was detained, and he confessed, telling where he hid the child’s body.

The detainee is a worker from Ozersk with three prison sentences. On the page on social networks there is a smiling guy, surrounded by a cheerful company.

I personally know Andrei and the news that he is a murderer came as a shock to me. He was kind person, easy to talk to, despised murderers and rapists - we talked about this a lot. I couldn’t pass by if someone was being offended. But prison greatly changed his worldview, he began to drink a lot and, under the influence of alcohol, became not himself, and did a lot of stupid things. He understood this and often said: “I can’t drink, I don’t know what I’m doing.” Many times he wanted to be coded, but his drinking buddies always dissuaded him, said former colleague Stanislav Vodenko.

On the day of the murder, the man was also drugged with alcohol and during interrogations had difficulty motivating his action: “I don’t remember anything.” However, there is a reason.
